For this project for a sound collaboration course, two student colleagues and I combined forces to create all the sound from the ground up for the 10 minute pod racing sequence from Star Wars - The Phantom Menace including foley, ADR, dialogue editing, music editing, and effects editing. This project was massive, weighing in at over 325 Pro Tools tracks collectively. It was such a fun challenge to work with such a large-scale project in tandem with other like-minded sound designers. The above clip is the 3 minute section of the scene that I was responsible for coordinating. While one of my colleagues did the ADR and the other worked exclusively with the engine sounds, I completed the backgrounds, walla, music editing, and effects editing for this 3 minute section of the full scene. I absolutely loved the opportunity to work with fellow sound designers in a deadline driven post-production workflow for such an exciting and sound-driven scene.
